Formed in the thriving music pockets of Kansas City, MO and Des Moines, IA, Isaac James came together in the summer of 2008.  In just 8 short weeks they were recording an EP with major label producer, Scott Spelbring.  "Too Much Horsepower" has attracted industry attention worldwide.  Featuring the single "Hey", it is stacked with pure heavy grooves and infectious guitar shreds.

With drummer Joel Ekman (two grammy nominations and one gold album), Chris "Blackie" Starks (formerly Field of Grey and Karma) on lead vocals, John Lillard on bass, and Gil Cole on lead guitar, Isaac James promises to bring raw rock energy back to the stage reminiscent of the rock greats we grew up on.

Tommy Barnes/program director for WFXN/The Fox in Ashland OH: "I don't buy a lot of music since I am around it at the radio station daily.  The music has to grab my attention and basically ROCK my world.  What these guys have done in a short amount of time..... will blow you away.  ROCK that has the sound of today, but the respect and energy of yesterday."

In August 2010, Isaac James began to get together tracks for its new 10-song album.  Using Larry Gann and Matthew Russo of Awestruck Studios, these 10 new tracks will cement Isaac James as a force to be reckoned with.  "Shut Up and Listen" is ready for download NOW on this website, and is also available on Itunes, Amazon, CD baby, and other online sources.  The feedback the band has received from industry insiders on this album has been nothing less than stellar….

Right now the band is hard at work doing shows and writing for their 3rd release - so stay tuned!
